This particular cross has been made and used for many years for purposes such as working, hunting, and family/property protection as well as being a devoted companion. Puppies can come in a wide range of coloring from merle to white with eyes being brown, green, ice blue, gold, or a combination of these. The American Bulldog is basically a happy, friendly dog that thrives on love and inclusion in the family's daily life. They are brave and assertive and genuinely love children. They are known for their acts of heroism towards their family. American Bulldogs forge a strong bond with their masters and family and develop strong guarding instincts. Because of this, they should continually be properly socialized and trained from an early age. They can come either white, white with patches, black and white brindle, fawn and white, fawn and white brindle or a combination of all of these. The American Bulldog is relatively inactive when indoors so will do fine in an apartment or house however, it is imperative to provide proper amounts of daily exercise to maintain the physical as well as mental health of your pet. They are extremely intelligent and easy to train as they are ever eager for their master's approval.

The Miniature Bulldog or Mini-Bulldog is another breed in development. The primary reason behind the creation of this particular breed is size. Not all people who love the Bulldog looks and attitude can have the standard Bulldog size so this version is developing in a smaller package. You still get the looks and the attitude only on a scaled down version. It's a win-win situation!
